What’s in my muggs? 2 for 1
Left: Turmeric Latte/Golden Milk
Modified from 5 minute recipe for Turmeric Tea (Wellness Mama)
2 cups of Coconut Milk (because #Whole30 compliant)
1 teaspoon ground Turmeric (I use a tablespoon because I love Turmeric! )
½ teaspoon Cinnamon ( I use a whole cinnamon stick)
1 teaspoon raw honey or maple syrup or to taste (optional, and you can also use Agave Nectar/Coconut Sugar. I opted for Dates, again Whole30 compliant)
Pinch of black pepper (increases absorption)
Tiny piece of fresh, peeled ginger root or ¼ tsp ginger powder
Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional… it’s good for ALL OF THIS)
I also add a teaspoon of Coconut Oil… (I put that isht on everyTHANG!!!)
1. Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth.
2. Then, Pour into a small sauce pan and heat for 3-5 minutes over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
I do 1 and 2 in reverse, I warm all of the my ingredients (except oil) in a saucepan to unlock the flavor. I put it in the blender add the oil and give it a whirl. It comes out quite frothy… Just like a Latte.
